7.5 x 108 CFU/g (aerobic)
1.5 x 109 CFU/g (aerobic)
Enzymes present: Amylase (starch degrading)
Protease (protein degrading)
Lipase
(grease degrading)
Cellulase (cellulose degrading)
Organisms also present to degrade detergent, bydrocarbons, and to reduce sulfides
APPEARANCE: BIO-REM E-D tan powder
Gelpac: brown gel
Odor: bran,
not objectionable
HOW IT WORKS: BIO-REM E-D and BIO-GEL
become active in liquid. The enzymes present break down organic waste into food for the bacteria present. The bacteria
use this food to multiply and produce more enzymes. This cycle continues until the waste has been completely digested
leaving the area free of solids, free flowing, and odor-free.
ADVANTAGES: Authorized by the USDA
for use in federally inspected meat, poultry and egg packing plants. Non-hazardous. Does not give off odors or toxic fumes.
Will not damage or harm skin. Contains no acids, caustics, choloride, or organic solvents.
APPLICATIONS: (see
label for recommended dosages)
FOR PROBLEM GREASE TRAPS: If grease traps are not properly maintained
they become problems. Grae accumulations, hardens, becomes rancid, and causes foul odors. BIO-REM E-D
contains bacteria and enzymes that directly attack the cause of the grease buildup and odor.s BIO-REM E-D
effectively eliminates the grease buildup and odors.
FOR COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL KITCHENS: Grease
is the biggest problem in most kitchen plumbing. Hot water dissolves grease and flushes it down the drain. As the
water cools in the drain lines, the grease and other debris congeal on the interior surfaces of the lines. Garbage grinders
compound this problem with food grindings that congeal with the grease to clog the lines. Failure to clean drain lines causes
slow drainage, foul odors, and eventual stoppage. BIO-REM E-D removes the cause of the odors and
clogging by digesting the grease and other organic waste in the lines.
FOR SMALL INTERIOR GREASE
TRAPS AND FLOOR SINKS: Reduce or eliminate manual cleaning of interior grease traps and floor sinks. Apply gelpac
directly to trap or sink monthly. Gelpac will dispense grease-eating bacteria as it dissolves. Gelpacs can be dissected to
treat 50-100 lb. traps and sinks.
FOR SLUGGISH SEWER AND LEACH LINES: Organic solid material
should be trapped in a grease trap or held in a septic tank. If these are not properly maintained, solids will accumulate
in sewer and leach lines. BIO-REM E-D effectively removes solids from the interior surfaces of sewer
lines and unclogs leach lines whn used in shock type dosages.

DIRECTIONS:
FOR DRAINS, PIPES, GARBAGE DISPOSALS, AND SINKS
CLEANOUT
DOSAGES:
Apply 4 tablespoons BIO-REM E-D daily for one week or as needed. Flush with water.
MAINTENANCE DOSAGE: Apply 4 tablespoons twice weekly. Flush with water. For floor drains, apply 4
tablespoons BIO-REM E-D twice weekly. Flush with water.
FOR GREASE TRAPS: If
trap is solid grease, clean mechanically prior to treatment. Treat prior to periods of lowest flow.
CLEANOUT
DOSAGE: per 100 gallon trap capacity, apply 6 tablespoons BIO-REM E-D daily or until grease mat
and odor are gone. Flush with water.
MAINTENANCE DOSAGE: per 100 grease trap capacity, apply 4
tablespoons BIO-REM E-D twice weekly. Flush with water.
FOR CLOGGED PIPES AND LEACH LINES:
Note: If lines are completely clogged, clean mechanically prior to treatment. Treat prior to periods of lowest
flow. In septic tank systems, it is advisable to pump the septic tank prior to treatment to increase leach line retention
time. For best results, mix dosage with 5 gallons lukewarm (NOT HOT) water and let stand 1-2 hours prior to application.
SHOCK APPLICATION: To eliminate standing water and odor, apply 2-5 pounds BIO-REM E-D
mixed with water to distribution box or septic tank effluent line. Flush throughout system with a garden hose. Repeat treatment
weekly or until desired results are obtained.
CLEANOUT DOSAGE: To open sluggish waste lines, flush
4 tablespoons BIO-REM E-D into commode weekly or as needed. Allow maximum retention.
MAINTENANCE
DOSAGE: Flush 4 tablespoons BIO-REM E-D into commode weekly or as needed to keep waste lines free-flowing
and odor-free.
NOTES:
Store in a cool, dry place. BIO-REM E-D is activated
by water. Flush recommended dosages into pipes with 2 cups of lukewarm (NOT HOT) water. When treating multi-story buildings,
treat lowest floor first and work up. This will avoid clogging the lowest floor from above. For best results, use BIO-REM
E-D according to planned maintenance schedule. Apply BIO-REM E-D before periods of lowest flow.
The longer BIO-REM E-D is retained, the better it works. Do not use in conjunction with bleach, disinfectants,
or harsh drain-cleaning chemicals as these will inactivate the bacterial action of BIO-REM E-D. Avoid breathing
dust. Wash hands, after use. May cause skin irritation or respiratory reaction. Avoid contact with eyes, open cuts, or sores.
If such contact should occur, flush thoroughly with water. If swallowed, contact a physician.
